DescriptionIn 1894, Kingswinford Rural District Council (RDC), was formed. This covered the areas of Kingswinford, Brockmoor, Pensnett and Wordsley.

Under the Staffordshire Review Order 1934, Kingswinford RDC, along with Brierley Hill UDC and Quarry Bank UDC joined together to form the new Brierley Hill Urban District Council.
