| Description | Indenture dated 24th July 1820, between:
1. John Barlow and George Barlow, both of Sambrook House, Basinghall Street, London, Merchants, and Co-Partners.
2. William Turton; John Turton Fereday; Edward Dixon; George Dalton; James Bourne; and Herbert Dudley Bourne of Tipton, Staffordshire, Ironmasters and Co-Partners in The Tipton Furnace Company.
#1 had recently agreed with the Commissioners of the Dudley Street Act to light certain streets, roads and passages within the town of Dudley with gas.
#1 declares that #2 shall be possessed of the piece of land, Gasometer, tank, pipes, casting apparatus, buildings, cast iron and other pipes, lamps, reflectors, lamp posts, etc. as described in the Indenture dated 10th April 1820, subject to clauses and covenants. |
