| Description | The Festival was organised by DJ Tim Westwood in association with the Greater London Council. It took place in Jubilee Gardens, a public park on the South Bank of the Thames within view of the Houses of Parliament. It was widely publicised and attracted thousands of Hip Hoppers not just from London but all parts of the UK. It was the first time many people realised how popular Hip Hop had become as a mass youth movement. |
