DSCAM/6/1/9/1: Copy bond (dated 20 July 1868) from Charles Edward Lukis of Dudley, Worcs., printer, to Hadden Woodward of Wednesbury, Staffs., gentleman in £500 to settle the share of his intended wife, Maria Louisa Russell, one of the children of Thomas Henry Russell (son of James), in the residuary estate, as specified.
DSCAM/6/1/9/2: Mortgage (27 Apr. 1871) by Charles Edward Lukis of Dudley, Worcs., newspaper proprietor and Maria Louisa his wife, to James Samuel Bourne of Dudley, gentleman, of Mrs Lukis's one seventh reversionary interest in the estate of her father (real estate in Wednesbury and Hateley Heath, Staffs. etc.) and her interest in two sums of £4000 under the will of James Russell, to secure £100 and interest; recites wills of James Russell and Thomas Henry Russell; attached certificate of acknowledgment by a married woman. Endorsed further charge (18 Sept. 1871) for £75, and assignment of life assurance policy as security for the full £175 and interest; and attached notice of the mortgage to the trustees under the wills.
DSCAM/6/1/9/3-4: Agreement (20 Apr. 1877) between Charles Edward Lukis and John Owen of Dudley, gentleman, for the sale of the reversionary of the late Maria Louisa Lukis, his wife, in the estate mortgaged in 1871, and of a life policy for £250 with the Legal and General Assurance Society, for £350, subject to Bourne's mortgage; notice to the executors of James Russell of the assignment by Lukis to Owen, 13 Sept. 1877, and receipt for premium, 27 Sept. 1877.
