Description | DSCAM/6/1/5/1: Copy admittance of the devisees in trust of Edward Cox of Ettingshall, parish of Sedgley, Staffs., gentleman (Thomas Cox his son, and John Johnson his son-in-law), to a parcel of land and 2 gardens in Coseley; surrender by them of the premises to Thomas Hayward of Coseley, butcher; and admittance of Hayward. All dated 15 October 1822. Manor of Sedgley. |
DSCAM/6/1/5/2-3: Copy conditional surrender by Heyward and Mary his wife, to Ann Davies of Dudley, widow and the Revd Edward Davies of the same, Clerk (trustees of the will of John Davies of Dudley, nail ironmonger, deceased), of messuages and lands (the Croft, 1a. 1r. 27p.), surrendered by Edward Cox to Thomas Hayward in 1808, and adjoining the road from the Coppice to Fullwoods End, by way of mortgage, to secure £280 and interest; and conditional surrender of the land and 2 gardens, and 5 messuages erected thereupon, at Coseley, as a further security. Both dated 10 Feb. 1832. |
DSCAM/6/1/5/4-5: Copy conditional surrenders by same to same (Revd Edward Davies now of Kingswinford), to secure a further charge of £120; recites manorial surrenders etc. Both dated 6 May 1844. |

DSCAM/6/1/5/8: Copy conveyance (dated2 Aug. 1847) by Hayward to Henry Bickerton Whitehouse of the parish of Sedgley, ironmaster, of the 1a. 1r. 27p. of land and 4 messuages etc. erectted thereupon, and the land in Coseley (now described as Schoolfield or Overpiece, measuring 1a. 0r. 2p.) and 5 messuages ; consideration of £400, £400 to be paid as specified, and £600 to repay mortgages; recites manorial surrenders etc. |
