DescriptionDSCAM/5/9/2/1: Attested copy of a deed (dated 11 Mar. 1775) between Richard Mee of Himley, Staffs., gentlemen and Patience his wife (sister and devisee of Richard Homer) and John Stone of the parish of Kingswinford, Staffs., gentleman, and Thomas Dudley of Dudley, Worcs., gentleman and John Dudley of the University of Oxford, gentleman, being a deed to declare the uses of a fine of Trinity Term 13 George III of estates in Sardon, Sedgley and Tipton, Staffs., to the use of Stone for a term of 600 years upon trust to raise such sums as will discharge the debts of Thomas Homer, Richard Homer and Henry Homer and to pay £500 each to Maria Homer (sister of Richard) and Maria Mee (niece of Richard) at 21 or marriage, and subject thereto, to such uses as the Mees shall appoint, which failing to the ses of Richard Mee for life, thence to Patience for life, thence to the eldest son of Richard Mee and Patience and the heirs of his body, with remainder successively to the younger sons of the marriage and their issue, with remainder to the daughters of the marriage as tenants in common, and their issue, and failing such issue to such uses as Patience shall appoint, with ultimate remainder to Patience and her heirs; term of 1200 years to John Dudley for raising £3000 for portions for the younger children of Richard Mee and Patience, payable as specified. Examined, 1 July 1818.
DSCAM/5/9/2/2: Attested copy of a release (dated 15 June 1793) by Patience Mee of the Tiled House, parish of Kingswinford, Staffs., widow of Richard Mee, and Richard Mee of the same, nail merchant (eldest son of Richard and Patience), to Peter Still of Lincoln's Inn, Middlesex, gentleman and Thomas Brettell of Summerhill, parish of KIngswinford, gentleman, being a deed to make Still Tenant to the Praecipe for suffering a Common Recovery of lands and messuages in Sardon, Brewood, Shareshill, Tipton alias Tibbington and Sedgley (as specified), in which Brettell will be Demandant, to such uses as Patience and Richard shall jointly appoint, and otherwise to the use of Patience for life (with power of sole appointment during her widowhood if Richard dies in her lifetime, without issue etc.), thence to Richard and his heirs and assigns for ever. Examined, 1 July 1818.
DSCAM/5/9/2/3: Copy of the will (dated 27 Nov. 1805) of Maria Burne of Himley, Staffs., widow of Thomas Burne; real estate in the parishes of Sedgley, Dudley and Kingswinford to son, Thomas Burne, and daughter, Maria Burne, at the age of 21 etc. as tenants in common, with cross remainders for want of issue, and further remainder to her brother, Richard Mee of Lutley, Salop, gentleman, and her sister, Eliza Gardner, wife of Benjamin Gardner of Cotheridge, Worcs., gentleman, as tenants in common; personal estate to children etc.; executors, brother-in-law, Benjamin Gardner, and Thomas Brettell of Tiled House, parish of Kingswinford, gentleman.
