DSCAM/5/9/1/3: Lease and release (11-2 May 1827) by John Mee to Joseph Green Bourne of Dudley, Worcs., gentleman, of the Tiled House Estate, for better securing £1500 to Benjamin Woolley and the £2000 charged under his marriage settlement for the portions of the younger children of Richard Mee (father), as to the surface and in conjunction with the others entitled, upon trust for sale, and as to the minerals, in trust to raise the money to repay the £2000 and £1500 (if not paid from the surface proceeds), and subject thereto, in trust for John; covenant to levy a Fine; recites 1794 settlement, 1799 bankruptcy of Richard Mee, sale of his life estate to Patience Mee (his mother) in 1800, and her devise of it to grandchildren (Richard Mee the younger, John Mee and Sarah Mee, children of Richard) subject to an allowance from the rents of £50 p.a. to Richard the bankrupt, 1819 appointment, 1819-20 mortgages and trust deeds of Richard the younger, death of Richard the younger, uncertainties, insolvency of Richard the younger in respect of personalty, arrangements for sale of surface of Tiled House, and that John Mee may be entitled to a reversionary estate in the premises, subject to the life interest of Sarah Patience Mee, only child of Richard the younger. |
DSCAM/5/9/1/4: Assignment (12 May 1827) by John Mee and Richard Mee to Joseph Green Bourne, of John's interest in the rents of the Tiled House Estate, his one third or other share of £17000 appointed by deed poll of 1819, and in other monies under the agreements of 2 June 1821 [DSCAM/5/9/4/2] and 21 July 182 and in any other personal property passing under the will of Patience Mee etc., and Richard's interest in an annuity of £50 under the will and in the sum of £1000 assigned to him by #2 above, etc., upon trust as an indemnity for Bourne and Henry Antrobus Cartwright (as heir at law of the last surviving trustee of the will of Patience Mee) against any claims, in respect of the application of rents, made by the residuary devisees and legatees of Patience Mee and their costs inany related litigation, and upon trust to pay Woolley the interest on his mortgage, thence to pay Richard his £50 annuity, and to pay the balance to John; quit claim by the Mees to Bourne and Cartwright over the application of rents to date; recites previous deeds from 1794, application of rents, etc. |
