Description | DSCAM/5/8/14/1-3: Bonds (16 Oct. 1776) of John Turton of the City of Bristol, merchant, to Thomas Wright of the Borough of Stafford, surgeon, in £1200 to secure the payment of £600 (secured by a mortgage of even date between Mary Winter of the parish of Westbromwich), and in £8000 to secure the payment of £4000 (secured by a mortgage of even date); and note of rentcharge payable to Wright by the Birmingham Canal Company for lands taken from the estate of John Turton late of the Brades.
Lease (18 May 1778) by the Mayor and Burgesses of the Borough of Stafford (as trustees of King Edward VI Grammar School, Stafford), to Thomas Wright of Stafford, gentleman, of Spittle (6 acres) in the parish of Castle Church, Staffordshire, for a term of 21 years if Wright and Mary his wife should live so long, at a rent of £6 6/- p.a. to Ann Parry of Stafford, widow, and after her death, the same to the Mayor and Burgesses.
