Description | DSCAM/5/8/1/7-9: Lease and release (11-12 Mar. 1803) by Benjamin Phillips, now of Ewers Street, Borough of Southwark, Surrey, drug grinder and the Revd William Blagborne of Leeds, Clerk and Mary his wife (formerly Mary Wright, widow), at the direction of Mary Hawkes of Dudley, widow, Edward Dixon late of Dudley but now of Horseley House, parish of Tipton, Staffs., Esq. and Thomas Hawkes and George Wright Hawkes, both of Dudley, glass merchants (surviving executors of Abiathar Hawkes), to Joseph Dixon of Dudley, banker, being a reconveyance of the Dudley premises on the repayment of the mortgage; first mentioned premises in High Street, to the use of Mary Hawkes for life, thence to Thomas Hawkes, and other premises, to Mary, Thomas and George Wright Hawkes and Edward Dixon, upon the trusts contained in the will of Abiathar with respect to his residuary estate; covenant to levy a Fine; recites previous deeds, will of Abiathar Hawkes etc. And two parts of a Final Concord (Trinity Term 43 George III = 1803) between Mary Hawkes, Edward Dixon, Thomas Hawkes and George Wright Hawkes (Plaintiffs) and William Blagborne, Clerk and Mary his wife (Deforciants). |
