DSCAM/5/6/6/2: Mortgage (16 July 1816)by appointment and demise of 1000 years, by Samuel Blackam of the parish of Sedgley, Staffs., cordwainer, to Thomas Martin of Dudley, Worcs., gentleman, of part of Upper Croft (744sq. yds) adjoining the Sedgley to Dudley turnpike at Upper Gornal, parish of Sedgley (abuttals given), to secure £120 and interest. Endorsed note by Blackham acknowledging the further sums of £20 on 10 Nov. 1816 and £9 19/- on 19 Dec. 1816 and charging them upon the mortgaged estate.
