DSCAM/5/6/5/2: Probate (22 Sept. 1786) of the will (dated 9 Oct. 1785) of Edward Bridgwater of Rowley Regis, Staffs., yeoman; annuity of £14 to wife, Hannah Bridgwater, charged on real estate, together with the use of two feather beds and certain other household effects for life; residue to be sold for equal benefit of children - Charles Bridgwater, Isaac Bridgwater, Sarah Priest, Catherine Bridgwater and Susannah Smith; from death of wife, 3 messuages at Tipity Green, parish of Rowley Regis, to daughter Sarah Priest for life, thence to her 3 children (Hannah Robinson, Edward Priest and John Priest) as tenants in common; property at the Knowle, from the death of wife, to Charles Bridwater (one quarter), Isaac Bridgwater (one quarter), Catherine Bridgwater (one quarter) and to Sussannah Smith for life, thence to her issue as tenants in common (one quarter); 2 pieces of copyhold land called Bitter Sweets, parish of Rowley Regis, to son Isaac; all residue to children in equal shares.
DSCAM/5/6/5/3: Lease and release (17-18 Oct. 1797) by Charles Bridgwater of the parish of Rowley Regis, nailer and Sarh his wife, to Edward Bridgwater of Rowley Regis, gentleman (grandson of Edward Bridgwater the testator), of one fourth share in the property (a messuage and 10a. 1r. 29p. of land) at the Knowle; consideration of £120.
DSCAM/5/6/5/4: Mortgage (9 Feb. 1799) by demise of 500 years, by Edward Bridgwater (eldest son and heir at law of Daniel Bridgwater, who died intestate) and Rebecca Bridgwater of Rowley Regis, widow (of Daniel), to Jophn Morris of Bradley, liberty of Bilstone and parish of Wolverhampton, Staffs., gentleman, of two fourth shares in property at the Knowle, to secure £130 and interest.
DSCAM/5/6/5/5: Certificate of contract for the redemption of Land Tax; 22 June 1799.
DSCAM/5/6/5/6: Lease and release (11-12 June 1800) by the trustees and executrix of Isaac Bridgwater, deceased (Edmund Darby of the parish of Rowley Regis, ironmonger and John Fellows of Bilstone, Staffs., yeoman; and Mary Bridgwater of the parish of Rowley Regis, widow), to Edward Bridgwater of Rowley Regis, gentleman (administrator of the effects of David Bridgwater, late of the same, innholder, deceased); consideration of £150, of which £137 is to satisfy Edward Bridgwater for money advance on bond as recited.
DSCAM/5/6/5/7: Further security (3 Nov. 1802) for £70 from Edward Bridgwater to John Morris, by way of a mortgage by demise of 500 years to secure a total of £200 and interest.
DSCAM/5/6/5/8: Lease and release (16-17 May 1817) Edward Bridgwater of Rowley Regis, gentleman (as heir at law of Daniel Bridgwater, who was heir at law, brother and heir at law of Catherine Bridgwater), to Edward Bridgwater of Dudley, Worcs., maltster, of three fourth parts of the Knowle, and Richard Gardner of Dudley, shopkeeper, and assignment by and his mortgagees (Joseph Percival of the township of Bilston, parish of Wolverhampton, Staffs., coalmaster and Richard Thompson of Bilston, gentleman, as executors of John Morris) of two terms of 500 years in trust for Brigwater of Dudley and otherwise upon trust to attend the freehold; consideration of £200 to the mortgagees and £1200 to Bridgwater of Rowley.
DSCAM/5/6/5/9: Probate (2 Apr. 1822) of the will (dated 18 Oct. 1813) and codicils of Edward Bridgwater of Dudley, maltster and brickmaker; messuage and 3 malthouses, brewhouse etc. in Castle Street and Fishers Street, Dudley, with 3 small parcels of ground near Dixon's Green, to son Joseph; messuage and brewhouse in Castle Street, Dudley, a cowhouse in a courtyard near the Castle Street messuage and 2 other messuages in that courtyard, 2 messuages in Birmingham Street, and 2 messuages and a nailshop in Fisher's Street, to daughter Sarah; a messuage and brewhouse in Castle Street, 2 messuages in Birmingham Street, with 3 messuages and a nailshop etc. behind them, to daughter Rachel; messuage and brewhouse in King Street, 5 messuages in Birmingham Street, 1 messuage in Fishers Street and a further messuage behind it, to daughter Lydia; a messuage in New Hall Street, 2 messuages in Fishers Street, and surface of a moiety of 4 closes called Bourne Hills, parish of Rowley Regis (9 acres), to daughter Maria; moiety of minerals under Bourne Hills to all daughters as tenants in common; share of any daughter dying without issue and under 21 to other daughters equally, etc.; Richard Gardner of Dudley, shopkeeper to be trustee with reference to disposal of any of the property by a married daughter etc.; house in Fishers Street occupied by his workman John Degrey and wife, to them for life, thence to Joseph Bridgwater; his maltster's business to son, from 1 Oct. 1817, until then to be conducted by executors; household effects to be divided equally by children; £10 to workman, Joseph Smith; enjoins children to look after his brother, Joseph Bridgwater, who now lives with him; executors etc., Richard Gardner, Joseph Bridgwater (son), and Sarah and Rachel Bridwater (daughters).

Codicil (dated 5 Feb. 1816) bequeathing £200 to daughter Sarah Bridgwater in lieu of 2 messuages, recently sold to John Badley of Blowers Green, coalmaster; also gives her a messuage in Birmingham Street, Dudley, not mentioned in the will and 20 shares in the Union Flour Mill, Birmingham; one share in Birmingham and Napton Canal to daughter Maria Bridgwater; revokes appointment of daughter Rachael (now wife of Richard Homer) as executor and appoints Richard Homer in stead.

Codicil (dated 14 July 1821) devising his moiety of minerals under Bourne Hills, parish of Rowley Regis to his son, Joseph Bridgwater and 4 daughters (previously just to 4 daughters) as tenants in common; devises to Joseph the three fourths of the surface of the Knowle, and to Joseph and the 4 daughters the three fourths of the minerals there; Richard Homer's debts to him to be deducted from Rachel Homer's share; appoints John Badley of Dudley, surgeon as an additional trustee and executor.

DSCAM/5/6/5/10: Articles of agreement (1 Feb. 1822) between Robert Walker and James Griffin of Withymoor, parish of Dudley, Worcs., coalmasters, and the devisees in fee of Edward Bridgwater and others interested in the Bourne Hills estate, for Walker and Griffin to become tenants of 2 acres of Bourne Hills and a canal basin, from 29 Sept. 1821 until they work out the underlying coals; reserves timber; consideration of £50 for the period the land has been occupied by them up to 29 Sept. 1821, then £20 p.a.
DSCAM/5/6/5/11: Mortgage by demise of 1000 years (4 Apr. 1829) by Joseph Bridgwater, now of Bordesley, parish of Aston iuxta Birmingham, Warwickshire, corn merchant, to William King, miller, Thomas King, gentleman, and John Round, ironmaster, all of the parish of Sedgley, Staffs. (executors of Henry King), of his three fourth parts of the Knowle, parish of Rowley Regis, to secure £600 and interest; and appointment and declaration of trust in favour of King, King and Round of the two terms of 500 years in the premises, now vested in Richard Gardner.
