Description | DSCAM/5/5/2/8: Pre-nuptial settlement (12 Sept. 1812) of William Slinn of the parish of Halesowen, Salop, wheelwright and Mary Knight of the Borough of Halesowen, spinster; trustees, John Green of the same, nail ironmonger and Joseph Harris of the same, maltster; appointment by Slinn of 2546sq. yds of land and the messuage erected thereupon, in trust for Slinn for life, then to Mary for life, thence to their issue equally as tenants in common with cross remainders, and ultimate remainder to Slinn's right heirs; marriage portion of £140 secured on the tolls of the Brettell Lane Turnpike and £20 on note from James Bourne, Treasurer of the same, assigned by Knight, upon trust to pay income to Slinn for life, then to herself, then capital to their issue equally, and in default of issue to such usesas Knight shall appoint, and in default, to Knight's next of kin under he rules for intestacy.. |
