DSCAM/5/2/6/2-5: Admittance of Joseph Tongue of the parish of Worfield, Salop, yeoman to a cottage in Over Gornall and half an acre of land in Sedgley Field. Admittance of Tongue to Spills Meadow. Surrenders by Tongue and Elizabeth his wife of a messuage and 3a. 2r. 12p. of land in Upper Gornall (abuttals given), as to one moiety to the use of John Fereday of Over Gornall for life, thence to the use of his will and otherwise to his right heirs, and as to the other moiety to the use of William Turton of Over Gornall for life etc.; and admittance of Messrs Fereday. Surrender by Tongue and wife to Fereday and Turton in moieties of Spills Meadow (1a. 1r. 25p.) in Over Gornall. All 26 May 1789.
DSCAM/5/2/6/6-8: Surrender by Elizabeth Whitehouse of Dudley, Worcs., widow and the Revd William Denny Wood of Dudley, Dissenting Minister and Mary his wife [the only child of Elizabeth Whitehouse] to Richard Groome of Sedgley, gentleman, of Bilberry Bank, 3 closes (Broom Furlong, the Inhedge and Miller's Close), all in Rewarden Field, to make a Tenant to the Preacipe for suffering a Common Recovery, in which Samuel Fereday of Upper Gornal is Demandant; and surrender to the uses declared - to the use of Whitehouse for life, with remainder to Wood and wife for life, with power of appointment, thence to their issue, with ultimate remainder to the right heirs of Mary Wood; 6 May 1794.

Lease (6 May 1794) by Whitehouse and Wood and wife, to John Fereday of the parish of Sedgley, Staffs., stone miner , of land (1a. 0r. 1p.) called Bilberry Bank at Sedgley (in the occupation of Samuel Fereday), and all mines of stone there, for a term of 30 years from Lady Day 1794; consideration of £80 and rent of £3 p.a.
DSCAM/5/2/6/9: Admittance of the devisees in trust of Thomas Underhill, late of Upper Gornal, tailor, deceased (William Turton of Upper Gornal, coalmaster and Thomas Rhodes of the same, farmer), and Ann Underhill, widow and relict of Thomas and James Underhill of Upper Gornal, tailor, eldest son and customary heir of Thomas, to 1r. 30p. of land in Rewarden Field, Manor of Sedgley, and surrender of the same to John Fereday of the parish of Sedgley, stone quarryman, to the use of Fereday for life and thence to the uses of his will etc.; 4 July 1801.
DSCAM/5/2/6/10: Admittance of Samuel Fereday of Ettingsall Park, coalmaster, eldest son and customary heir of Samuel Fereday late of Upper Gornal, quarryman, deceased, to a moiety of 4 cottages (abuttals and tenants given) in the Manor of Sedgley; 18 Dec. 1802.
DSCAM/5/2/6/11: Grant (6 May 1807) by John Fereday of the parish of Sedgley, coalmaster to Samuel Fereday of Ettingsall Park, parish of Sedgley, coalmaster, of coals under the Flatt at Chitts Grave, Sedgley, part of Sedgley Field. Unexecuted.
DSCAM/5/2/6/12: Admittance of Thomas Salter and Thomas Steele, both of Manchester, Lnacashire, merchants (assignees of the estate of William Andrew Wood and Alfred Wood, late of Manchester, merchants), William Tatlock of Manchester, merchant and the said Thomas Steele (assignees of the estate of John Whitehouse Wood and William Lakin, late of the City of London, warehousemen) and the said John Whitehouse Wood, William Andrew Wood and Alfred Wood (by Thomas Eyre Lee, gentleman, their attorney, under a power recited), to Bilberry Bank, lying in Rewarden Field, and mines of stone under Broom Furlong, the Inhedge and Millers Close in the same field (all in the possession of Samuel Fereday); and surrender of the same to John Fereday of Sedgley, coal master for a consideration of £45; 16 Sept. 1818.
DSCAM/5/2/6/13-15: Surrenders by William Turton late of Over Gornall, parish of Sedgley, Staffs., gentleman, now of Westbromwich, Staffs., coalmaster, and Elizabeth his wife, to the use of William Turton Fereday of Upper Gornall, parish of Sedgley, coalmaster, for life, thence to the uses of his will, and otherwise to his heirs and assigns; and admittances of William Turton Fereday. #13 a moiety of the Inhedge (3r. 18p.) in Sedgley Field; consideration of £25. #14 a moiety of a messuage and land at Upper Gornall; consideration of £108. #15 a moiety of Spill's Meadow. All 19 May 1821.
DSCAM/5/2/6/16-17: Mortgage (24 Oct. 1828) by William Turton Fereday of the Fordhouses in the parish of Bushbury, Staffordshire, coalmaster, to John Fereday of Cotwall End, parish of Sedgley, Staffs., gentleman, to secure £395 and interest, being a demise of 99 years and a covenant to surrender a moiety of copyholds (a cottage now converted into three dwellinghouses in Over Gornall and adjacent lands in Sedgley Field, as specified) held of the Manor of Sedgley.

Declaration of trust (24 Oct. 1828) by William Turton Fereday to John Fereday of a moiety of copyhold premises at Sedgley Field and Upper Gornall, the other moiety of which belongs to John who contracted for William's moiety and paid him £100.
DSCAM/5/2/6/18: Articles of agreement (24 Feb. 1831) between William Turton Fereday of Wolverhampton, Staffs., gentleman, William Buckle of the same, grocer and Thomas Love of the same, bankers clerk (trustees of William Turton Fereday's 1830 assignment for the benefit of his creditors) , and John Fereday of Cotwall End, for John to buy the reversion of William Turton Fereday's moiety of the mortgaged premises, and the entirety of two other small closes in Sedgley Field for £224 3s 6d.
