DSCAM/5/1/6/8: Appointment and release by way of mortgage (7 Aug. 1841) by Edward Aston and William Fellowes (his trustee) to Moses Grice of Congreaves, parish of Rowley Regis, Staffs., iron slitter and mill manager, of two small parts of Owens Croft, and the 4 messuages erected upon them, at Owens Lane, now called Owen Street, parish of Tipton alias Tibbington, and a small parcel (897.5sq .yds) of Thistley Leasow, Owens Lane, and 7 messuages erected upon it, including the New Inn (abuttals and tenants given); and assignment of part of Old Field (2889sq. yds as in #7) and the iron foundry erected thereupon, two-thirds for the residue of a term of 950 years from 29 Sept. 1801 and one-third for the residue of a term of 1000 years from 23 Sept. 1766 save the last day, and the machinery etc. absolutely; to secure £1000 and interest; recites deeds of 1816 [DSCAM/5/1/3/11] and 1828. |
