Description | DSCAM/5/1/10/1: Attested copy of the will (dated 14 Feb. 1812) and codicils of Isaac Aston the elder of Tipton, Staffs., maltster and brickmaker; household effects to wife, Sarah Aston; house in Tipton, to wife for life; malthouse and stock to wife for 6 years; reversion to children in equal shares as tenants in common; annuity of £80 to wife after the expiry of 6 years, charged on all his freehold and leasehold premises; leashold estate at Tipton, including canal boats, stock in trade as brickmaker etc., to all children as tenants in common; two-thirds of freehold estate at the Bloomfield, parish of Tipton, to sons James and Isaac Aston as tenants in common, and the remaining third to other children - Joseph, Edward, Stephen and Sarah Aston - as tenants in common; two messuages in Hurst Lane and stables in Owen Street, Tipton and £90, to James Aston; 5 messuages in Owen Street and a messuage in Wood Street, Tipton, to Isaac Aston; 6 messuages near Keir and Company's soap manufactory, Tipton, a small plot of land there, and the other messuage in Wood Street, to Joseph Aston; messuage in Owen Street occupied by Edward Aston devised to him; 5 leasehold messuages in Hurst Lane, to Stephen Aston; 4 messuages at Great Bridge, parish of Tipton, to Sarah Aston; all other estate to children equally as tenants in common; executors are wife and sons except Stephen. |
DSCAM/5/1/10/2: Lease and release (6-7 Feb. 1835) by William Johnson Aston of Tipton, Staffs., butcher to Edward Aston and Samuel Round of Tipton, maltsters, being a conveyance by William as heir at law of his father, James Aston, to Edward and Round (the trustees named in James Aston's will), of 4 messuages in Owen Street, Tipton, of a one third share in a messuage and land at Tipton, and five-twelfths of a freehold estate at Bloomfield, parish of Tipton - all the real estate intended to pass under the will and which may have vested in the heir at law through the will's being inadequate to pass real estate - upon the trusts of the will, viz. for the children of James (William Johnson Aston, James Aston, Edwin Aston, Mary Ann Aston, Emma Aston, Ruth Aston, Louisa Aston and Matilda Aston in equal shares, with the children of deceased daughter Sarah Northalltaking their mother's share). |
DSCAM/5/1/10/3: Conveyance (21 Oct. 1840) by Thomas Aston of Tipton, Staffs., gentleman (only son and heir at law of Isaac Aston the younger) and Mary Ann his wife, to Edward Aston of the same, maltster and William Felowes of Dudley, Worcs., gentleman (his trustee to uses), of his one-sixth share in the residue of the estate of Isaac Aston the elder - a garden and a close of land at Tipton; consideration of £150. Attached certificate of acknowlegment by a married woman. |
