DescriptionDSCAM/4/5/8/1-30: General correspondence received by William Fellows/Fellowes junior as Clerk, much of it from the Home Office with queries about annual returns and accounts; proposed South Staffordshire Railway (1849); the Bilston Improvements Bill (1849-50), including notices and press cutting, 'professedly with a view to Sanitary Improvement but the main objects being ... that the parties who pay tolls to a considerable amount may be relieved from those payments ...' and that all turnpikes within the township shall be vested in the new board/commission; complaints about state of road; occasional replies; 5 Feb 1839-Apr 1852.
