DSCAM/4/4/1/5: General release (7 May 1823) of the surviving trustees (James Bourne of Dudley, gentleman and Edward Hickman) by the (subscribing) members of the Dudley Annuity Society, widows of former members, and executors, administrators and personal representatives of former members etc., who have decided to withdraw from membership; recites resolution of 1810 replacing then trsutess with Bourne and Hickman, of 1813 that the money of the Society be called in distributed to members, of 1820 to auction property in mortgage to the Society, of 1822 recounting the difficulty of disposing of a moiety of Caponfield except at a great loss and permitting any member to withdraw from the Society and in return receive half the amount of entry money and subscriptions paid in by them.
DSCAM/4/4/1/6: Deed of dissolution (1 Jan. 1830) of the Society between the members of the Dudley Annuity Society, widows of former members, and executors, administrators and personal representatives of former members etc. and the surviving trustees (James Bourne and Edward Hickman late of Sedgley, Staffordshire, now of King's Capel, Herefordshire, gentleman); recites previous history of the Society, the advance of £4300 to John Read of Gospel Oak, Tipton, Staffordshire, iron monger on the mortgage of a moiety of a moiety of Caponfield Ironworks, Sedgley and Bilston (29 Sept.1810), Read's bankruptcy in 1811, the actuarial miscalculations of the Society and the decision to cease taking subscriptions and dissolve it (1813), protracted foreclosure proceedings, distress on Thomas Smith for arrears of rent at Caponfield and subsequent bankruptcy proceedings against him (1821), difficulties disposing of Caponfield, recent partial success; agreement to dissolve the society and pay a dividend of 37.5% to members etc.; schedules of each class of member, widow, representative, money paid in and dividend received.
DSCAM/4/4/1/7: Release and indemnity (17 Jan. 1837) of Joseph Greene Bourne (as surviving executor of James Bourne, a trustee of the Society) and Edward Hickman (the surviving trustee of the Society) by the members of the Dudley Annuity Society, widows of former members, and executors, administrators and personal representatives of former members etc.; recites history of the Society, dividend in 1832, sale of property in 1833 and large dividend in 1834; £174 13s 5d paid in to the banking house of Messrs Dixon, Dalton and Co., Dudley in the names of Cornelius Cartwright, Joseph Green Bourne et al. to await the claims and proofs of Thomas Jones and Thomas Stokes; schedules of each class of member, widow, representative, money paid in and dividends received [subsequent to 1830] of 7.5%, 85.25% and 7.5% final..
