DescriptionDraft ssignment by the subscribing creditors of Richard Bradley and Son (a partnership of Richard Bradley the elder, who died on 24 July 1847, and Richard Bradley (the younger), party to this deeds, of Tipton, Staffs., ironmaster), coal and iron masters at the Factory Ironworks and at the One Tree Colliery and Todds End Colliery, Tipton, to Frederick Isaac Welch of Birmingham, Warwickshire, tanner and currier and Joseph Barrows of the same, wine merchant, of all claims in return for a composition of 9/- in the £ to be paid by Welch and Barrows, to whom the assets of the business are assigned; recites will of Bradley the elder (of which Ann Bradley of Tipton, his widow and Richard Bradley the younger are active executors, and of which Welch and Barrows have renounced probate), debts of the firm to Welch and Barrows of £2500 each. Attached schedule of creditors, the amount of their debts, composition and schedule of payments of composition in instalments.
