DescriptionDSCAM/4/1/132/1: Deed of copartnership (2 Jan. 1865) between Henry Williams of Brierley Hill, parish of Kingswinford, Staffs. and Frederick Cresswell of Park Lane, Tipton, Staffs. as fire brick manufacturers, for a term of 14 years under the style of The Patent Fire Brick Works Company; to be carried on at 'The Patent Fire Brick Works' in Tipton (leased to them by deed of even date at £200 p.a.); capital of partnership is £1500 in equal shares (of which £1000 is represented by stock in trade); profits divided equally; Cresswell at liberty to sell iron by commission etc. in addition to partnership activities; after 6 months each partner may draw £2 per week [see attached memorandum of 31 July 1865); surviving partner to take share of deceased partner at valuation, payable by instalments as specified.
