DescriptionDSCAM/4/1/10/1: Deed of copartnership (5 Apr. 1819) between John Green the younger of Dudley, Worcs., nail ironmonger and William Royle the younger of the same, nail ironmonger, for a term of 21 years, under the style of Green and Royle; equal partnership with equal provision of capital; may be determined after 7 years on 12 months' notice; Royle to pay Green interest on 'workmen's debts' for as long as they are in arrear in return for Green taking these debts upon himself.
DSCAM/4/1/10/2: Deed of dissolution of the above partnership (19 June 1820) made between Green, Royle, Joseph Royle of Dudley, maltster (father of William) and Zephaniah Parkes of the parish of Dudley, ironmaster (for himself and his copartners in Zachary Parkes and Company); assignment by Green to W. Royle of his interest in partnership assets and debts; entirety to be realised, any surplus after payment of partnership creditors to be applied, as to Green's moiety, to paying £600 to Parkes, the amount agreed to be accepted in discharge of Green's debt on private account, with any balance to Green, and Royle's moiety to Royle; Green to retain stock of nails and chains to the value of £500 in warehouse in Dudley, and will use them to pay for any deficiency in paying their joint creditors and his own £600 debt to Parkes; mutual covenants.
