To son, John Collins, the £200 due from Thomas Horton on a mortgage of houses etc. near Rood End, Oldbury; to son-in-law, Joseph Standley, £50 due from Thomas Bird upon mortgage of premises in Furnace Row, Oldbury; 3 messuages in Smethwick, parish of Harborne, Staffs. and another at Oldbury Green, upon trust for daughter, Eliza, wife of Joseph Standley for life, thence to Standley for life, thence to their children (John Standley named) in equal shares as tenants in common, with remainder to his other children (John, George and Ann, wife of William Chesshire) and their issue taking equally per stirpes as tenants in common etc.; 3 messuages in Hales Owen Street, Oldbury, and a further newly erected one, in trust for daughter Ann Chesshire for life, thence to her husband for life, thence to their 5 children, with remainder to testator's other 3 children and their issue; 7 messuages at Westbromwich Street and Collins's Bridge, Oldbury, and 4 in Hales Owen Street, Oldbury, upon trust for son John Collins for life, thence to his issue, with remainder to the testator's other 3 children and their issue etc.; quarter share in premises at Oldbury devised by will of late father, to all 4 children as tenants in common; 20 dwellinghouses in Hales Owen Street, all other real estate, a leasehold messuage and slaughterhouse in Hales Owen Street, upon trust for younger son George Collins for life etc.; household furniture and effects and personal estate to George; tenants named.
Executors: Thomas Collins (brother) and Samuel Clifton of Oldbury, gentleman.
Instructions for codicil (24 Jan. 1857); 7 houses at Collins Bridge left in trust for John Collins, instead to William Cheshire and Ann Cheshire for life, then upon trust for sale for the equal benefit of their children; the £200 of Thomas Horton's and £50 to be called in towards payment of debts; house at Oldbury Green devised to Eliza Standley to be sold to pay debts; house occupied by William Jukes to go to son, George Collins; house occupied by Harper and Wagstaff, Hollins, Franks Hankey and Nock and the public house to go to John Collins, part in substitute for those at Collins Bridge, and John to pay the £200 + owed to Foley under the will of Thomas Felton of the Duke of York, Harborne, of which testator is executor.1 item
