DSCAM/3/493/2: Attested copy release (dated 24 Nov. 1713) by Joseph Wright of Wednesbury, Staffs., yeoman, to William Whitehouse and Henry Wood of the same, of all his lands and messuages in the parishes of Sedgley and Wednesbury, to his own use for life, then to that of Deborah Haughton for life, thence to her issue, with ultimate remainder to his own right heirs; and assignment of the term of 1000 years in premises in Wednesbury, to the use of Wright and Haughton (as above), thence to Haughton's issue in such proportions as Joseph shall appoint, and otherwise equally; but all subject to the condition that if 'Joseph Whitehouse' [Joseph Wright] shall have any child, he may void the provisions of this deed as specified; consideration of £20. Memorandum confirming provisions in father (Richard Wright)'s will should Joseph die childless. Examined, 1 Apr. 1737. |
