DescriptionDSCAM/3/428/1: Copy of the will (dated 25 Jan. 1821) of Aaron Timmins of Dudley, Worcs., gentleman; 2 messuages in Prospect Row, parish of Dudley, and a messuage recently bought from William Fellowes, to Sarah Smith (who now lives with him), daughter of niece, Mary Smith of Dudley, widow, for life, thence to Sarah's issue as tenants in common, with remainder, for want of issue, to the children of Mary Smith, as tenants in common; 2 messuages in Hall Street, Dudley, upon trust for sale, with proceeds and accumulated income being equally divided between the children of his niece, Elizabeth Hodgetts, wife of Stephen Hodgetts, when the youngest is aged 21; copyhold messuage at Sedgley, upon trust for sale, with proceeds and accumulated income being equally divided between the children of nephews, Samuel Timmins of the Straits Green, parish of Sedgley and John Timmins of Shut End, when the youngest is 21; £100 to the Methodist missions; £100 to Catherine, daughter of Joseph Timmins, at 21; £20 to nephew, Phillip Lamburn of Birmingham, Warwickshire, shoemaker; £50 each to the 5 daughters of brother-in-law, Squire Knight; £50 to be divided betewen children of late nephew, Aaron Knight, at 21; £20 to children of Samuel Bennitt of Dudley, shoemaker and £30 to the children of Squire Bennitt of Dudley, shoemaker, at 21; all other estate for sale; residue for division between the children of Mary Smith (except Sarah), with accrued income, when youngest has reached 21; executors, William Bunch of Dudley, auctioneer, Benjamin Leadbetter of the same, gentleman, Joseph Timmins of the same, fire ironmonger and Stephen Hodgetts of the same, nail factor. Endorsed as probate copy but probate act wanting.
DSCAM/3/428/2: Mortgage (3 July 1818) by demise of 500 years, by Thomas Baugh of the parish of Tipton, Staffs., miner, to Aaron Timmins, of 182sq. yds of land in the parish of Tipton (abuttals given; adjoins canal tow path), and the 3 dwellinghouses erected thereupon, to secure £120 and interest.
DSCAM/3/428/3: Lease and release (19-20 July 1820) by way of mortgage, by Gideon Whitehouse of the parish of Tipton, Staffs., boatloader (eldest son and heir at law of Gideon Grice Whitehouse late of Tipon, miner), to Aaron Timmins, of 2 messuages in Brickkiln Street, Tipton and 2 more adjoining, to secure £120 advanced on a promissory note, with interest, upon trust for sale etc.
