DSCAM/3/336/2: Deed of arrangement (23 Mar. 1885) between the family (as above) of the late Mrs Anne Maria Smith re the estate of John Preston of Cinderhill, parish of Sedgley, butty collier, deceased, devised to John Preston of Birmingham, boiler maker, in trust for testator's daughter, Anne Maria, wife of Enoch Smith, for life, thence to such of her issue as she should appoint, following her death intestate and the claim of Abraham to certain properties as customary heir; conveyance by John Preston the trustee to all but Abraham of freeholds (2 messuages at Ettingshall New Village, township of Bilston, Staffs.; conveyance by him to all of copyholds (2 messuages and 776sq. yds of land at Ladymoor, parish of Sedgley; 3 messuages and 124sq. yds of land at Ladymoor; and 2 parcels of land containing 528sq. yds of land at Ladymoor) in the Manor of Sedgley, but with covenant by Abraham to surrender his one sixth share to the other 5; covenant by Preston to surrender to Abraham other copyholds (3 messuages at Ladymoor and 832sq. yds of land on which they stand) in the said manor; plan endorsed. |
