DescriptionDSCAM/3/310/1: Probate (22 Sept. 1843) of the will (dated 22 Dec. 1840) of Sarah Pearce of Old Hill, parish of Rowley Regis, Staffs., widow and universal legatee of William Pearce, late of the Thorns, parish of Kingswinford; household stores to Elizabeth, wife of John Payne; all household effects and 3 canal boats, to John Payne; £10 to executor; £50 to William Rushton of New Hadley, Salop; £50 to niece, Elizabeth Lowe; £19 19/- each to sisters-in-law Sarah, wife of Thomas Pearce, and Elizabeth Franks, widow, brother-in-law Richard Wild, £10 to Wild's daughter, Mary Wild, and £19 19/- to Daniel Rigby, son of testatrix's nephew, Thomas Rigby; £150 mortgage to her from John Payne to be interest free until Mary Ann, his daughter, is 21 years of age, when £50 is abated and £100 raised for the said Mary Ann, but that sum too is to pass to John Payne should Mary Ann die a minor; residue of estate in trust to pay income to John Payne for life, then to his wife, Elizabeth, for life, thence capital to their issue; executor, William Finney of Haden Hill, parish of Rowley Regis, brickmaker
