DescriptionDSCAM/3/263/1: Probate (1 Mar. 1822) of the will (dated 15 Aug. 1818) of George Lester of the parish of Kingsnorton, Worcs., farmer; £200 each to sons, Peter Lester, George Lester and Thomas Lester, and £150 to daughter, Elizabeth Lester; income from £200 to son, John Lester, for life, thence capital to John's issue at the age of 21 as specified, and in default of such issue, to be distributed to the testator's next of kin under the rules governing intestacy; all personal estate, implements of husbandry, livestock and household effects, for the support of wife, Hannah Lester, for life, with trustees empowered to continue his farming business or dispose of it at their discretion; then upon trust for sale with proceeds divided equally between testator's children (or remoter issue, taking per stirpes), except that the share of John is to be held in trust as with the £200 above, although trustees empowered to lend John up to half his share on the security of John's notes of hand etc.; executors, Richard Brinton of Birmingham, Warwickshire, brassfounder and Thomas Lester (son).
DSCAM/3/263/2-3: Bond (8 June 1797) of William Guest and Joseph Guest of Compton Park, parish of Kinfare, Staffs., gentleman and John Guest of Birmingham, Warwickshire, gentleman, to George Lester of Kingsnorton, Worcs., gentleman, to secure £100 and interest; promissory notes from George Lester to his father, George Lester, and to Hannah Lester, and from William Guest to George Lester.
