DescriptionDSCAM/3/100/1: Probate (16 June 1847) of the will (dated 12 Nov. 1841) of Charles Cox of Dudley, Worcs., innkeeper and cattle dealer; executrix and guardian is wife, Mary; all estate to her for life, to educate and maintain son Charles; thence to son, in remainder, should he die a minor without surviving issue, as to one moiety to such uses as Mary Cox shall appoint, and in default of an appointment, and the other moiety, to the testator's brothers and sisters and their issue as tenants in common, in equal shares per stirpes.

DSCAM/3/100/17-19: Memorandum of agreement (23 July1853) between Noah Pearson of Brierley Hill and Thomas Kendrick of Dudley, druggist as to a mortgage for £300 on Pearson's property (land and 5 dwellinghouses, 4 of them under construction) at Brierley Hill; notice to Charles Strakey as prior mortgagee of Pearson's 2nd mortgage of premises at Brockmoor, parish of Kingswinford, to Henry Hodgetts of East Wall, Much Wenlock, farmer and Edward Grainger of Dudley, draper, 5 July 1866; contract (4 Sept. 1868) for the sale by Richard Cornelius Pearson of Brierley Hill, parish of Kingswinford, Staffs., boiler maker, to Thomas Kendrick of Dudley, pawnbroker, of land at Brockmoor and a public house and 8 messuages erected upon it, for a consideration of £285 and subject to mortgages of £325 and £300; agreement between Kendrick and Charles Cox (28 Dec. 1877) on execution of a mortgage for £600 of the Brockmoor propery, in relation to other properties in High Street and Oakeywell Street, Dudley, mortgaged to Cox by deeds of even date, all forming securities for a total of £2350.
