Description | DSCAM/3/10/1: Probate (6 Sept. 1860) of the will (dated 12 Nov. 1855) of Thomas Attwood of Commonside, parish of Kingswinford, Staffs., yeoman. All to wife, Mary, for life, subject to a term for 21 years to trustees to liquidate mortgage debts; personal and household effects to be sold and proceeds divided between Samuel Attwood (son) and Mary Ann and Fanny (daughters); thence Commonside property to be divided as specified between children: Benjamin Attwood, Joseph Attwood, Matilda Bayley (step-daughter), Thomas Attwood, Maria Hardy, Samuel Attwood, John Homer (stepson), and Mary Ann Attwood and Fanny Attwood as tenants in common. Executors: Mary Attwood (wife), and from her death, Joseph Attwood (son) and John Hardy (son-in-law). Codicil (14 Dec. 1857) revokes appointment of Hardy; all property devised and bequeathed to Samuel Attwood, who is now dead, to son William instead.
