DSCAM/2/7/3/2-3: Bargain and sale (16 May 1778) by Thomas Ellis of Wood Street, London, ironmonger and Mary his wife (daughter and devisee of Thomas Brown of Great Wyrley), to Thomas Lowten of the Middle Temple, London, gentleman and Henry Kelly of the same, gentleman, of 3 acres of land called Rushcroft, at Great Wyrley, Staffs., being a deed to make Lowten Tenant to the Praecipe for suffering a Common Recovery in which Kelly shall be Demandant, to such uses as Williams and wife shall appoint, and otherwise to the use of Thomas Ellis, his heirs and assigns. Inrolled in the King's Bench, Trinity Term 18 George III). And exemplification of the subsequent Recovery (Easter Term 18 George III).
DSCAM/2/7/3/4: Copy of the will (dated 24 Sept. 1813) of Mary Ellis, wife of Thomas Ellis of Cannock, Staffs.; devises Rush Croft to nephew, John Brown; £70 each to nephews, Thomas and Joseph Brown, and niece Elizabeth Messenger, and £70 to be divided betweeb the two daughters of nephew William Brown; £200 to niece, Mary Altree, wife of William, for life, thence to her two daughters; numerous small legacies and bequests to other relations and friends; to husband, Thomas Ellis, the house in Cumberland Street near the Middlesex Hospital, London and the ground rents of 3 houses in Tottenham Court Road, parish of St Pancras, for life, thence to her nephew Joseph Clewley and to Joseph Clewley, son of her nephew William Clewley, as specified, subject to a rent of £5 p.a. to Lord Southamptona nd his representatives; money in the Funds at the Bank of England to be used to defray legacies, income from the balance to husband, thence capital to Thomas Brownm Joseph Brown, the daughters of William Brown, Mary Alton and Elizabeth Messenger in equal shares; and £100 to Joseph Clewley, son of William.; executors, husband, nephew Joseph Clewley and another.

DSCAM/2/7/3/6-9: Lease and release (25-26 Apr. 1817) by John Brown of Alveley, Salop, farmer (eldest son and heir-at-law of Joseph Brown of Great Wyrley, Staffs., gentleman, deceased, the eldest son and heir-at-lawof Thomas Brown of Great Wyrley, yeoman, deceased), to Edward Sayer the elder of Great Wyrley, gentleman and Edward Sayer the younger of the same, farmer (his trustee to uses), of Rushcroft as specified, to the use of Sayer the elder as specified; consideration of £210; recites title to property; covenant for the production of title deeds [as in next bundle to 1817] by Dorothy Smith of Great Wyrley, widow. Also sale and purchase agreement (10 July 1816); undertaking to deliver documents; and notes on Brown family baptisms and marriages.
