DSCAM/2/6/1/11: Office copy of the will (dated 7 Sept. 1826) of John Parker Wilson of Swindon, parish of Wombourne, gentleman; £10 each to servants Mary Jones and John Foley; £100 each to John, William, Thomas, Mary Ann and Susan, children of cousin, John Wilson of Astley, Salop, farmer; benefit of all farm tenancies to said cousin, plus messuage, malthouse, lands and tithes at Swindon ('about 200 acres'), at a rent of £300 p.a, until the Lady Day after nephew, John Wilson Williams [called John Parker Williams elsewhere], reaches or would reach the age of 25; annuity of £75 to sister, Mary Williams; otherwise all real and personal estate, inc. leaseholds in Birmingham, to Benjamin Beddall of Greens Forge, parish of Wombourne, miller, and James Beddall his brother upon trust to accumulate rents etc., and then to transfer all funds and estate to John Parker Williams at the age of 25, and should he be dead and without issue, with remainder to John Wilson aforesaid, etc. Proved, 2 Nov. 1827. |

Wilson, with any excess to be divided equally between 2 daughter and 3 sons, John, William and Thomas; annuity of £60 to wife, Ann, reducing to £30 on remarriage, and charged on the J.P. Wilson estate; all estate he has from J.P. Wilson, and all other his own real estate, upon trust, subject to charges he has made above, to raise £1000 for son William, £1100 for son Thomas, and £1000 each for daughters (payable as specified), and the balance to all 5 children equally as tenants in common; powers of trustees; arrangements to offer four-fifths of the estate to eldest son, John, at valuation less 2.5%; provisions for William and Thomas under the will void if they do not assign their interest in property in Birmingham, which is subject to the trusts of the testator's settlement with his 1st wife, Mary, to John; executors, William Wilson of Sutton, parish of Claverley, Salop, William Wilson and Thomas Wilson (sons), Ann Wilson (wife), Joseph Wilson of Bushbury, Staffs., farmer (brother) and Thomas Wilson of Claverley, saddler (brother-in-law).
