Sub-lease (29 Aug. 1834) by James Davies, late of Birmingham, now of the parish of Westbromwich, Staffs., butcher and Paul Siddons of the parish of Sedgley, Staffs., butcher, to Thomas Hood and Richard Haines, both of the parish of Westbromwich, coalmasters and copartners, with the consent of John Spittle of the parish of Westbromwich (freeholder), coalmaster, of 37p. of a meadow, part of the land leased by Spittle to Davies by #3 above, as the course for a branch canal to serve the colliery of Messrs Hood and Haines, for the residue of the term of 21 years from Jan. 1827 less the last day; rent of £2 6s 3d p.a.
