DescriptionDSCAM/2/5/2/12: Lease and release and appointment (22-23 Sept. 1836) by Luke Bell York, late of Stretton upon Dunsmore, now of Bishops Itchington, Warwickshire, gentleman, to William Coldicott of Westbromwich, Staffs., gentleman and William Rose Baker of Dudley, Worcs., draper (his trustee to uses), of two parts of the Shoulder of Mutton close in Brickhouse Lane, Westbromwich (4a. 0r. 17p. and 2r. 24p.) to the use of Coldicott, with power of appointment, as specified; assignment by Edward Fielding Palmer of Coleshill, Warwickshire, gentleman, to William Fellowes of Dudley, gentlemen, of a term of 500 years in the premises in trust for Coldicott and otherwise upon trust to attend the freehold; covenant for the production of title deeds specified on the annexed schedule by John Willim the younger of Bilston, Staffs., gentleman; consideration of £390; recites previous deeds.

DSCAM/2/5/2/23: Copy appointment and release (dated 1 Jan. 1823) by George Insole of Birmingham, Warwickshire, sadlers ironmonger (mortgagee), Luke York of Kingshurst, Warwickshire, farmer and Sarah his wife, and Thomas Lees of Wednesbury, Staffs., coach spring maker and Elizabeth his wife [formerly Elizabeth Smith] (annuitants), and John Palmer of Birmingham, gentleman, to William Palmer of Birmingham, gentleman and Joel Maurice of Westbromwich, tallow chandler, of coals under Shoulder of Mutton Close (5a. 1r. 28p.), freed from the various mortgages and rentcharges, in trust for Isaac Horton of West Bromwich, Staffs., coalmaster and John Partridge of Wednesbury, maltster, and otherwise upon trust to secure the balance of the purchase money; consideration of £2712 10/-, of which £500 is now paid and the balance is secured to be paid in quarterly instalments of £50; recites previous deeds and wills of the Brett family; covenant for the production of title deeds.
DSCAM/2/5/2/24-26: Release and quit claim (20 May 1852) by Benjamin Whitehouse of Westbromwich, Staffs., boiler manufacturer, to William Coldicott of Dudley, Worcs., gentleman, of all interest in a lease of the surface of Shoulder of Mutton close, for a consideration of £10; with related agreement to effect such a release (1 Apr. 1852), and correspondence and bill of costs (Mar.-June 1852).
DSCAM/2/5/2/27: Conveyance (6 May 1874) by the devisees in trust under the will of William Cooksey etc. (Henry Coldicott of Dudley, Worcs., gentleman and Charles Coldicott of Coventry Road, Birmingham, Warwickshire, gentleman), Matthew Woodward of Wolverhampton, Staffs, flour mill manager (surviving executor of William Cooksey), to Charles Starkey of Upperwick, Worcs., gentleman, to the use of to the said Henry Coldicott (as heir at law), of 2 parcels of land (397 and 391sq. yds) adjoining Brickhouse Lane, leading from Great Bridge to Wednesbury, and the canal; consideration of £45; plan endorsed. Endorsed memoranda of the conveyance of the first plot to Richard Silvester and Thomas Gibbons (6 June 1874) and of the second to Thomas Pugh Allen (25 Sept. 1876).
