DescriptionDSCAM/2/3/5/1: Copy will (dated 7 Dec. 1793) of Thomas Aynsworth of Birmingham, Warwickshire, banker; all upon trust; wife, Sarah Aynsworth to receive a sum that will make supplement what she receives from estates settled upon her and make her income up to £100 p.a.; she to occupy house in Temple Street, Birmingham for life, with use of household effects; £30 p.a. for the maintenance and education of each of his children still under her care; £1000 to each daughter at 21; £400 to Thomas Cooper, son of Hannah Cooper, formerly a servant to his late father, John, at the age of 21, with income applied ad interim to his maintenance; arrangements for apprenticing testator's sons if appropriate; all property after wife's decease to be divided between sons, John, William and Thomas, as tenants in common, with remoter issue taking per stirpes; £100 to the General Hospital in Birmingham; income from £100 to the Revd Christopher Stephenson of Rowley Regis, Staffs, Clerk and his wife, for life, thence capital to the Reddall Hill Charity School on the lower side of the parish of Rowley Regis; 4/- a week to Samuel Edwards, late servant to testator's father; executors, William Wallis Mason, Richard Pratchet and Matthias Attwood; provision appointing the Rectors of St Martin's and St Phillip's, Birmingham as trustees in event of their death etc.; inventory to be compiled by William Marshall or his successor as first clerk in the banking house of Spooner and Co., Birmingham.
DSCAM/2/3/5/2: Copy of the probate (dated 6 May 1817) of the will (dated 23 Nov. 1810) of John Aynsworth of Aulcester, Warwickshire, gentleman; no provision for brother who is amply provided for under father's will, or to sister, relying on the future disposal to be made by mother; all to mother, Sarah Aynsworth, who is sole executrix. Sworn under £3000.
DSCAM/2/3/5/3: Copy of the limited probate (dated 20 Feb. 1817), granted in the Prerogative Court of Canterbury, of the will (dated 7 Oct. 1815) of Thomas Aynsworth, Midshipman of HMS Antelope, now in the harbour of Portsmouth; £100 to Revd Francis Palmer of Aulcester, Warwickshire, Clerk; all other estate to mother; executors, Francis Palmer and John Bullen of New Inn, Middlesex, Esq.
DSCAM/2/3/5/4: Attested copy of the pre-nuptial settlement (dated 23-24 Oct. 1818) of the Revd Hugh Casement Carleton, Rector of Arrow, Warwickshire, Clerk and Sarah Aynsworth the younger of Alcester, spinster; being a lease and relaes by Carleton and Sarah Aynsworth the elder, to the Revd John Bartlam, Vicar of Beoley, Worcs., the Revd Francis Palmer, Rector of Alcester, and the Revd Edward Whitehead, Fellow of Corpus Christi College, Oxford (trustees); annual chief rent of £100 9/- out of lands in the parish of Culfeightrim, Barony of Carey, co. Antrim, to Hugh for life; Drakes Cross Farm, parish of Kings Norton, Worcs, Hollywood in Hadley Yield, same parish, Broomhill, parishes of Bilbroughton and Chaddesley Corbett, Worcs., messuages, shops and lands in the parish of Rowley Regis, Staffs., and lands at Cakemore, parish of Halesowen, Salop, to the use of Sarah the elder for life, thence to Hugh for life; then all to Sarah the younger for life, thence to their children equally as tenants in common, with power to parents to appoint differentially, with cross remainderes etc., with ultimate remainder to the right heirs of Hugh (chief rent) and the rest to such uses as Sarah the elder shall appoint*, and in default, to such uses as Sarah the younger shall appoint, thence to Sarah the younger, her heirs and assigns ; recites previous deeds.

DSCAM/2/3/5/5: Copy of the probate (dated 30 Nov. 1836) of the will (dated 7 Jan. 1835) of Sarah Aynsworth of ALcester, Warwickshire, widow; freehold residence in Evesham Street, Alcester, to the use of daughter, Sarah carleton, for life, thence to such uses as Sarah Carleton shall appoint, and in default to Hugh Casement Carleton and his heirs and assigns; £100 each to executors; £10 each to servants of 4 years' standing; household effects to daughter, or to son-in-law if she be dead; appoints* under power above to such uses and persons as Sarah the younger may appoint, and in default to High Casement Carleton and his heirs and assigns; executors Palmer and Laws.
