DSCAM/2/3/11/10: Post-nuptial settlement (11 Sept. 1684) by John Wowen of Dudley, Worcs., MA, of Michleworth alias Over Mickleworth farm etc. and several parcels of land in Oldburyefeild, all recently bought from John Holmes (abuttals given), upon his wife, Elizabeth, sister of Samuell Barton and a daughter of Jane Barton of London, widow, deceased, being a covenant by Wowen with Samuell Barton, BD, Fellow of Corpus Christi College, Oxford, to stand seised of the property, in trust for himself for life, thence to the use of Elizabeth for life, then to the use of Edward Wowen (their son) for life, then to the heirs of his body, and in default of issue, to the right heirs of John; consideration of marriage portion of £300.

DSCAM/2/3/11/12: Letter from Samuel Baylie, Dudley to the Revd Mr Wowen, at Madam Bruce's in Mare Street, Hackney near London, re remittances, land sales, state of agriculture/markets, 18 Apr. 1707; and paper 'on the other side from Mr Russell ... you will have much adoe to make anything out'; and letter from WR, dated 6 May 1707 at Portway, concerning land at Oldbury.
DSCAM/2/3/11/13-14: Pre-nuptial settlement (23-24 Dec. 1709) of John Wowen junior of London, merchant and Esther Wastfield of London, spinster (daughter of William Wastfield, Citizen and Goldsmith of London), being a lease and release by John Wowen senior, late of Dudley, now of Hackny, Middlesex, MA and Elizabeth his wife, to Samuell Barton of London, DD and Samuel Trench, Citizen and Salter of London (trustees), of Mickleworth etc., etc., to John senior for life, then to Elizabeth for life, thence to John junior for life, then to Esther for life, thence to their issue, with remainder, in default of issue, to the right heirs of John senior; covenant to levy a Fine; covenant to surrender copyholds of the Manor of Bewdley, Worcs. (2 messuages and lands), upon like truste; consideration of £1500 as the marriage portion. And duplicate.
DSCAM/2/3/11/15: Lease and release (19-20 Feb. 1723/4) by Elizabeth Wowen of Hackney, Middlesex, widow and John Wowen of London, Esq. and Jane his wife, to Jane Bruce of Hackney, widow, of Mickleworth etc., etc.; covenant to levy a Fine; consideration of £100 to Elizabeth and £600 to John.
