DescriptionCounterpart lease (1 Oct. 1862) by William, Earl of Dudley to James Onion and George Onions of Brades Hall Furnace, Tipton, Staffs., ironmasters and copartners, of 4a. 2r. 14p. of land at Netherton, and 2 blast furnaces etc. erected thereupon - the Nethrton Furncaes, previously in the occupation of Noah Hingley and Sons, for a term of 14 years, determinable by the tenants after 7, at a rent of £145 p.a. until 30 Sept. 1863 or until the furnaces and premises shall have been repaired and put in blast, and £270 p.a. thereafter; covenant to purchase coal, limestone etc. from the Earl as specified; reservations as to use of certain areas; agreement to take over stock-in-trade, machinery etc. in 2nd schedule from the Earl for £900, £300 down and the rest by quarterly instalments of £50; with plan; schedules of plan and machinery.

And endorsed surrender of the lease (30 Dec. 1869).
