DescriptionBargain and sale and enfeoffment (10 July 1832) by Alexander Cochrane of Blower's Green, parish of Dudley, Worcs., gentleman (surviving trustee of the Primrose Hill Building Society), to Theophilus Dunn of Dudley and Timoth Oakes of Primrose Hill, furnace builder (his trustee to uses), of 172sq. yds of land, adjoining premises conveyed to Joseph Green Bourne and a road from the Dudley-Cradley highway to the Dudley-Halesowen turnpike, and the messuage erected thereupon (one of 19 erected by the society), to the use of Dunn, with power of appointment, as specified; covenant for the production of title deeds [DSCAM/4/3/2/15] by Joseph Green Bourne of Cawney Bank, parish of Dudley, gentleman, plan endorsed; livery of seisin endorsed. Attached promissory note from Noah Dunn and Thomas Major Dunn to Mary Bourne, 25 Sept. 1867; and agreement (same date) between Noah Dunn and Miss Bourne accompanying the deposit of deeds to the Primrose Hill property as collateral security for £343 1/- secured by the note, reciting that £325 and interest was due on mortgage from Joseph Dunn to Miss Bourne and that his brothers (Thomas Major Dunn of Brierley Hill, school master and Noah Dunn of Primrose Hill, coal heaver) had enetered into this arrangement. Mortgage (14 Oct. 1868) by Elizabeth Wainwright of Belle Vue, Coleham near Shrewsbury, Salop, spinster, to Mary Bourne of Kinver, Staffs., spinster, of two adjacent messuages in High Street, Dudley, to secure £300 and interest.
Endorsed transfer (1870) from Mary Bourne to the Revd Joseph Green Bourne of Broome, Worcs., Clerk and Herbert Campbell of Dingle Mount, Toxteth Park, Liverpool, Lancashire, Esq. Not executed.
Transfer of the mortgage (4 June 1875) by the Revd John Morton of Weston Lodge, Leamington Priors, Warwickshire, Clerk and Mary his wife (nee Bourne), to the Revd Charles Barton of Dorchester, Dorset, Clerk and the Revd Joseph Green Bourne of Broome, Worcs., Clerk, with further borrowing of £25 on the same security by Wainwright; attached certificate of acknowledgment by a married woman.
