Declaration of trust (27 Aug. 1863) between Joseph Thompson the younger of Dudley, plumber and glazier and James Airston of Walsall, Staffs., out of business, and Robert Airston of Walsall, tea dealer and Jane his wife, of land in Warwick Street, Walsall (parish of Rushall, Staffs.), in favour of Jane for life, then of Robert if he survives her, thence as Jane shall appoint in her will etc., and in default, to assign the premises to Arabella Thompson, niece of Jane; recites 99-year lease of even date by Lord Hatherton to Thompson and J. Airston on behalf of R. and Jane Airston 'for the purpose of expending certain monies belonging to the said Joseph Thompson and James Airston on a joint account and for the benefit of the said Jane Airston in the erection [of houses] upon the said piece of land...'
Consent of William Swift of Forster Street, Walsall, as tenant for life of 40-41 Foster Street under the will of Joseph Thompson, to the handing over of the 1855 lease to Mary Thompson of Warwick Street, Walsall, owner of the other houses, 25 Aug. 1879.
Power of attorney from George Esther of Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand, gentleman, to Arthur Belfield of Dudley, Worcs., solicitor, for the recovery of £200 due on mortgage from Joseph Thompson [for sums due by him to Esther in relation to the 1863 trust]; recites previous mortgage deeds, wills etc. relating to the Thompsons.
