Description | DSCAM/1/3/2/50-51: Deed (10 Nov. 1732) between William Parkes the younger of Dudley, Worcs., baker (eldest son of William Parkes the elder of Dudley, maltster) and Abraham Stoakes of Stowerbridge, Worcs., baker, declaring the uses of a Fine of a messuage and 3 pieces of land (12 acres) adjoining the Watson's Green-Tivedale Road in the parish of Dudley, to Parkes the younger and his heirs and assigns. And extract from the Fine (Michaelmas Term 6 George II = 1732) between Stoakes (Plaintiff) and Parkes the elder, Parkes the younger, Joseph Parkes and John Parkes (Deforciants). |
DSCAM/1/3/2/52: Office copy of the will (dated 15 Oct. 1764) of William Parkes of Netherton in the parish of Dudley, baker; estate at Rowley Regis to son John 'for the payment of £400 ... as directed ... by the last will and testament of his late brother William Parkes and for the payment of £100 more .. which I have of him...'; estate at Wattsons Green, parish of Dudley, to daughter Phebe; lands at Netherton called Great Pewsters, the Stoney Stive ground, and other lands there, to wife Phebe for life, then to son John, charged with £300 to daughter Phebe, £100 each for the use of daughters Sarah Caddick and Elizabeth Thorpe, for life, thence to their issue as tenants in common etc., all payable as specified, and £100 to wife; all personal estate to wife for life, thence to issue at her discretion; executors, John Turton of the Brades and testator's wife. Proved at Worcester, 31 Jan. 1770. |
DSCAM/1/3/2/53-54: Pre-nuptial settlement of Phebe Parkes and Thomas Blinkhorn (5-6 Nov. 1773); lease and release by Phebe Parkes of Tipton, Staffs., spinster, with the consent of Thomas Blinkhorn of Spittle Fields, Middlesex, silk weaver, to John Parkes of the Borough of Warwick, Warwickshire, mercer, Baly Caddick of Tipton, nail ironmonger and William Turton of West Bromwich, Staffs., nail ironmonger, of a messuage and lands at Wattsons Green, to the sue of Blinkhorn and J. Parkes in trust for Blinkhorn and his heirs, with uses to bar dower.
And extract from bond (6 Nov.) from Blinkhorn to Parkes, Caddick and Turton, to secure the payment of £50 to Phebe after his death, and £1000 and £1500 (this last if the clear amount of his effects are sufficient) to the trustees, paying the income to Phebe for life, then the capital to their children, with power to appoint between the children given to Phebe in respect of the £1000 and to Blinkhorn in respect of the £1500, and in default of issue further power of appointments to them over the respective sums, but ultimate remainder in any unappointed sums to Blinkhorn's next of kin and legatees. |
