DescriptionIn 1926, Cannon celebrated 100 years of operation. The event was marked by the firm giving its employees a trip to Blackpool and a celebration dinner, on Saturday 19th September 1926. Two trains conveyed 850 members of the workforce to Blackpool. The company dinner was served in the Indian Lounge at the Blackpool Winter Gardens. The records include:
'One Hundred Today - A Book published to mark the Centenary of a big British business'. The book includes a history of the Cannon Iron Foundries Ltd., illustrated with photographs of the firm and its achievements through the 100 years of its operation.
Centenary Menus for breakfast on the train to Blackpool; Dinner at the Winter Gardens, Blackpool; and Supper on the homeward journey from Blackpool, 'B' train.
