| Description | Under the Will of Richard Clayton of Coseley Hall, Coseley, Staffordshire, Esq., dated 31st December 1913, various Trusts were set up for his daughters and other family members.
In his Will dated 10th October 1922, Edward Sheldon Barnett bequeathed money to his nieces, Edith Louise Lewis; Kate Evelyn Sargent; Ethel Maud Eliza Commeline; Grace Muriel Bunting; and Fanny Constance Berry. However, he was already paying money to them under the terms of a Settlement before his death, since these records begin in 1915. The Settlement was for a Dividend of 12½ % (free of Income Tax) on 50 shares in the Company (Cannon Iron Foundries Ltd.), payable annually. |
