DescriptionLetters between Cannon; Mr T. Whyman of 6, Vicarage Road, Wolverhampton; William Kirk, of New Ferry; and other correspondents. Letters give a detailed description of the events leading up to the dismissal of Mr Whyman from the employ of Cannon. Includes: a letter from Mr Whyman to Richard Clayton asking the reason for his dismissal; letters of a threatening nature written by Mr Whyman to Mr George Brookes of Swan Street Vice & Anvil Makers, Netherton; some personal letters from Mr Whyman to his friend William Kirk, which were forwarded to Mr Richard Clayton of Cannon; two witness statements from Charles Turner and Jim Horton, employees of Cannon. Mr Whyman eventually found a new job as Manager of the Hollow-ware Department of Falkirk Iron Company, Falkirk, according to a letter dated 16th August 1895.
