DescriptionAs well as minutes of meetings, the volume contains a newspaper cutting about a case held at Bristol Police Court, 13th December 1901, between Mr Charles S. Bailey, ironmonger, of Victoria Street, Bristol (defendant) and the Cannon Iron Foundries Ltd. of Deepfields, Bilston (prosecutors). Cannon were prosecuting Mr Bailey for false trade description and selling other manufacturers' saucepans under the trade name of 'Cannon'. Mr Bailey was fined and ordered to pay costs.
Another newspaper cutting in the Minute Book states that Cannon Foundries Ltd. was to give each of its employees free tickets to the Wolverhampton Art and Industrial Exhibition on the day of the Coronation of King Edward VII on 9th August 1902.
The Minute Book also contains an obituary of Mr Richard Clayton, Director of the company, who died on 16th May 1915, taken from the Hardwareman & Ironmongers' Chronicle, 27th May 1915.
