| Description | As well as minutes of meetings, the volume contains a number of newspaper cuttings about a serious fire on 8th May 1895, which greatly damaged the Works of Cannon Hollow ware Co. Ltd at Deepfields. The Works' own fire brigade actively worked to extinguish the fire as well as Wolverhampton, Dudley, Bilston and Tipton fire brigades. However, the whole of the stock of the company was destroyed, and the building was left in ruins. The company was insured for the building and most of its stock, the damage being estimated at around £5,000. |
