ii) may enter into the two limestone quarries on the east and west sides of the Wrens Nest Hill, Sedgley, Staffs., the two limestone quarries at Shorts Mill and the two limestone quarries opening into the tunnel of the Dudley Canal in Sedgley and Dudley, Worcs.

ii) may work the limestone quarries and take, sell and dispose of the limestone raised for his own use and benefit and to use all roads, ways and kilns, etc. now used by i) for working, burning and carrying away the limestone and discharging the water. For the term of 5 years from 25 Mar 1795.

ii) to work mines in a workmanlike manner and in good repair, etc., under the control and direction and to the satisfaction of i).

ii) to purchase tool and implements of i), paying i) within 3 months. ii) will raise no less than 20,000 tons of limestone on the west side and no less than 40,000 tons on the east side of Wrens Nest Hill paying a royalty of 2s per ton [measurements detailed].

ii) to pay at least £6,000 royalty or annual rent.

Provisio: if ii) does not get 60,000 tons of limestone in 5 years or pay annual rent or royalty of £6,000, then i) may enter premises, etc.; and that ii) will yearly raise, get and burn a sufficient quantity of limestone on the west side for the supply of the land sale there and carry on the same as an open public sale work at 3s 6d a quarter [measurements given]; ii) to yearly supply the different proprietors of iron furnaces erected on i)'s land in Kingswinford, Dudley and Sedgley; accounts to be kept and weighing machines installed (of which i) to have access, etc.); ii) not to assign over his contract without i)'s consent; i) agrees that works be delivered over in good order; ii) to be able to use all roads, ways, kilns, etc. for transportation, etc. (any alterations to be made with the approbriation of i)); i) to purchase all tools, etc., used by ii) at the end of the contract, alongwith any new railways constructed, etc. that have 'lasting advantage'; ii) to be supplied with coals at the pit banks of the Foxyard Colliery for burning limestone paying a times price to i); and twelve months notice to be given to end contract.

Consideration: royalty and annual payment by ii); covenants agreed
