Describes the arrival of William Danke, William Ailware, Thomas Sely, Llewelyn Cardigan, John Stevyn, Peter Owen and Ian ap Gynon, Merchants to Ceredigion on 30 Sep 1534 to James, Lord of Audley, Chancellor and Treasurer with a grave complaint having travelled from the new town of Ceredigion on 30 Mar 1534 on 'Le Lawrence' with cloths [amounts and value detailed] to Bordeaux. When they and the goods had been brought ashore, they were attacked by Spainish [?], who took the goods and killed Master Thomas ap Ross. The document relates to a Crown Inquisition by Chancery and measures concerning attornies to be set out. Dated at Ceredigion.

Seal: white wax [possibly either King's Bench or Court of Common Pleas, with equestrian figure on obverse and royal arms on reverse, legend missing]
