DescriptionCannon had Letters Patent issued for many of its products. The earliest example to be found in this collection is Patent No. 2736 for Improvements in Negro-pots, Dutch Stoves, Camp Ovens, etc. issued in 1882. Other examples include: Patent No. 29,918 for a hexagonal detachable socket handle for saucepans; and Patent No. 21,497 for the "Perfect" strainer cover for saucepans. Files include: Letters Patent; provisional and complete patent specifications; correspondence with the Office for Patents and the Registration of Designs and Trade Marks, London; etc.
